My name is Leah Stajduhar. I am the Senior Director of the Office of Fraud and Accountability. OFA is responsible for investigating allegations of public benefit fraud in Washington State. I have worked for the Department of Social and Health services for over 30 years. I have been a part of the OFA team for almost 10 years. Prior to that I worked within Washington’s Child Welfare system.
I currently work collaboratively with several other Washington fraud partners (L&I, ESD, DOR and DOL) to address overarching fraud trends and risks. Collectively, this group hopes to reduce information silos and open pathways to prevent widespread fraud in programs designed to help support Washingtonians when they need it most.
